Exploring Spatial Awareness

Master Class by Triangular Project

Triangular Project is a visual artists collective created by Florine Leoni (Switzerland), Macarena Ruiz-Tagle (Chile) and Sandra Volny (Canada). From three artistic practices they are engaged in three kinds of perception of space: perception of mental/emotional space, perception of optical/perceptual space, and aural/spatial awareness. Working in situ, their interests and actions intertwine with the local community's culture, history and geography. They approach the environment mainly through experimentation. The process is as important as the final work of art. Collective work, side by side with invited participants, unfolds into a shared creation of knowledge.

In summer 2017 Triangular Project conducted the seven-day Master Class «Exploring Spatial Awareness» with participants coming from various artistic fields. The Master Class was hosted at the Ionion Centre for the Arts and Culture on Kefalonia Island in Greece from June 26 to July 3rd 2017.
